Staying Inside and Creative

Its officially been a month and a half since theaters across the globe have turned on their ghost lights until further notice. Instead of screaming into the void and contemplating what this all means for my community, I have been focusing on my craft. Lessons, workshops, writing, and creating with people around the country. I am grateful for the arts now more than ever. What would any of us do with out music? Movies? Crafts? Puzzles?? POPCORN? Okay I’m aware popcorn isn’t an art, but seriously I don’t know how I would be getting through this pandemic without it.

Anyway, I thought I’d share one of my favorite projects so far, a virtual orchestra and choir of amazing female musicians. The project was created by Shelbie Rassler (the genius behind the “What The World Needs Now” viral video ) for an organization called The Female Quotient. Once all of our voices and instruments were put together, this song came to life in an incredible way. When I was filming it alone, on the other hand, I had to overcome a few obstacles of my own. Enjoy both ends of this project: the finished product, and my own journey filming. Apologies in advance for the language.
