I'm back!
Hello world!
After traveling around the US and Canada for the last year, I am finally off tour and back in South Florida! I am so excited to trade in my backstage blacks for some wigs and dance shoes. My time in the Wardrobe Department with the first national tour of School of Rock was not only a huge learning experience, but an amazing adventure filled with friends, family, and fun. Some of my favorite adventures include….
My own little corner- Yes, I mean it. The National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada is home to ‘Casey’s Corner’— named after a stagehand. I stood under the sign much too often.
Halloween in New Orleans- spent time with friends and got surprised by my boyfriend. We managed to put together the perfect costume in less than a day.
Dogsledding in Canada- around 2 hours north of Toronto we met some very special friends! One of my favorite things I’ve ever done. Genius xmas present, mom!
Women’s March on Washington- We happened to be working at The National Theatre in Washington DC at the same time as the Women’s March. I joined a few kick ass women and marched before call time!
Singing!- I actually got a chance to perform at our Broadway Cares-Equity Fights AIDS Cabaret in Cleveland, OH. I had a blast being able to be on stage, even if it was only for a few minutes.
Promotion- My wonderful supervisor (Kaitlyn, you taught me everything I know, I owe it all to you) left us to work on Hamilton in Chicago (woo!) and I stepped up to Wardrobe Supervisor. Forever grateful to my assistant, Mykey, who helped with the big change.
I could go on forever. So many buttons sewn, trucks loaded, and life long friends made. The hiking pictures alone would take up my whole website. I’ll leave a few photos for fun, but there’s always facebook for that.
